The Old Workhouse, built in 1862 as the workhouse for Pateley Bridge, and in use until 1914, is now the centre for heritage and arts in Nidderdale. The site is home to the award winning Nidderdale Museum and the specialist art and craft businesses of the King Street Workshops, which operate from workshops within the complex and welcome visitors.
In addition you will find number 6 studio gallery, the centre for visual arts education which also hosts regular exhibitions. Next door to number 6 is the Nidderdale Plus Community Partnership office, which is set up to support the local economy and offer both local and regional information to residents and visitors alike.

King Street Workshops bring together a group of highly talented and skilled craftspeople, who design and make exclusive pieces in a variety of materials including: clay, hand-blown glass and precious metals.
